Anthrotypes

Anthrotypes are prints made from dye made from berries or plants and a positive (not negative) and exposed in the sun. Some dyes can take from hours to days to months to expose.

Materials:  colorful flowers petals, berries, or plants, blender, water, coffee filter, brush, art paper, positive, sun

How to:
Use the berries, petals, or plant and mix it with water in the blender. Strain the dye so there aren't any chunks. Paint the dye onto the paper with the brush and place the positive on top. Leave in the sun.

In class, we discovered that using cabbage makes a purple color but smells absolutely disgusting. I would not recommend using it. Other than that, the process did not seem difficult.
